Kurt was born in Buffalo, NY, on February 7th, 1952 to the late James and Virginia Ruesch.
Surviving are his loving wife Sandra (Dillemuth); son Kurt, two grandsons Trajan and Braxe; daughter Kristin; brother Mark and sister-in-law Laurie, three sisters Karen Gregor, Marcia (Greg) Parks, and Bernadette (Tim) Kramer, brother-in-law Michael Dillemuth and several nieces and nephews.
Kurt worked in Communications for over 40 years, advancing to Division President at Ronco Communications. He had a tremendous work ethic, but managed to balance family life with excellence. While Kurt had an impressive career, his favorite title was being called “Grampy” by Trajan and Braxe.
Kurt was known for his amazing sense of humor, keeping his family laughing until the very end. His humor was rivaled only by his kindness. If someone needed help, he would give them the shirt off of his back without a second thought.
After moving to North Carolina and retiring, Kurt was able to spend his time doing what he loved the most, being with family and golfing with his friends. He enjoyed traveling with Sandra and loved spending time with friends, both new and old. He passionately cheered on his favorite sports teams, the New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Duke Blue Devils basketball.
A memorial service for Kurt will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Rd., Cary, NC 27511 with a reception to follow.
