Joseph Ernest Guenette (Ernie), was in his 83rd year. He was a good and loving father and husband. Ernie was a New Hampshire boy, who had tall tales, with a good sense of humor and hard work ethics. He loved his country and served in both the Navy and Army honorably. He was a loving and reliable husband who gave love and understanding to his wife Karen. He was a devoted father who was always tolerant of his children's mistakes, and as they matured they maintained their love and respect for him. Although he never became financially well-off, his family was richer because of his love.
Ernie went to college in Florida, where he met his loving wife Karen and started raising his kids. During this time he discovered his love for the Miami Dolphins and fishing on his boat, Radar. He eventually moved his family to Chapel Hill, NC for his long-time job at IBM, which he then retired from and moved to Oak Island, NC. He ultimately left Oak Island to move to Cary, NC to be closer to his kids and grandkids.
He had a wicked sense of humor, and will be truly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BrownWynneCary.com for the Guenette family.
