I knew Carol and Gary in high school , but where I really got to know them was at KSU. They invited me over and did we have fun. I really appreciated those times 
Some of us said when Gary went into Computer Science, he’s going to make those cards with holes in them!  It was a wise choice we found out.  Such a smart man. 
Carol my heart goes out to you.  I am so sorry for the  loss of your soul mate.

Growing up in Elkhart, Gary was one of my classmates.  I remember one occasion when his mother had to teach he and I a song about Christopher Columbus and she always had good snacks.  Carol, I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and I’ll see you in Elkhart on the 25th. Love you!!

I worked alongside Gary for many years at the RBC Center (now PNC Arena). He was a great colleague, and a very honorable man, which made him a wonderful supervisor to work for. I really enjoyed our talks while roaming the halls of the arena. If I can think of only one thing I learned from Gary, it was his passion and humanity towards his fellow man, and I must say I am a better person because of his willingness to share that compassion. I apologize for not sending condolences sooner, I just heard of his passing. He will be greatly missed, and we will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Another double cousin of Gary,Gale   I never  in my wildest  mind thought  something like this would happen.  I know God was listening  while I prayed for him,but I'm  not God. He was like a second  brother.  We  had really good times as kids  He's a very  special  guy  in my heart  and  will always  be  there   Although  I hadn't  seen him  much in so many years  I will  forever love  him    I promise  to see you  later Gary. 

I was blessed with wonderful first cousins. Gary was one of them  We had great times 
at Morton County Reunions, famiily gatherings, Gerkin reunions, etc. 
Carol, I know you will miss him very much, he was a kind and caring man.
 He will be missed by all.

   I knew Gary almost all his life. I'd like to say I remember the day he was born, but I really don't, of course. We spent a lot of time together when we were kids. I was only a couple of years older, so we had a lot of the same interests. From tinker toys to football, we had a lot of fun together. Might have even had a spat once in a while, but that never lasted long. We made a lot of memories along the way. Gary always told me that being double cousins was something special. More closely related than brothers even. I'll tell you what made it special was Gary. He was a special person.  Rest easy, buddy.   Ronnie

Dear Carol,  For about 70 years Gary has been one of my favorite people.  We have so many wonderful memories of the Morton County Reunion, the Gerkin Reunions, and all of the other times we were able to gather.  You guys have shared a wonderful life, and have enriched the lives of so many people.
I'm so sorry that we will not be able to attend the memorial service, but I am so glad we were able to make it back there in July for a visit. You are in our thoughts and prayers.  We love you.

I worked with Gary and Carol with the Special Olympics NC for a number of years.  Gary was a very kind, generous and giving person, as well as being extremely skilled at security measures.  I always new Gary and Carol both to selflessly give to Special Olympics, Kids for Cancer and other causes.  I am blessed to have known Gary, and we mourn our loss, but heaven is a little brighter now!

Gary and Carol, a team that has helped many...Mile of Hope, Special Olympics, photographs of importance but most of all a team that made sure Love surrounds those who most need a lift and a prayer.  So sorry for your lost , but sure the gates were wide open and welcoming,  when Gary arrived and joined others. Thank you, Carol,  for allowing our family to be a part of you and Gary's Circle of Love and Friendship.  Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
