Born Faith Geraldine Ketzer in Staten Island, NY she graduated from Curtis High School in 1949, Elmira College in 1953 and received her Master’s degree in Human Services Administration from the University of Mankato MN in 1987. A longtime Episcopalian, Ms. Reilly was baptized at the Church of the Ascension and was confirmed at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.
Ms. Reilly spent many years doing volunteer work for Junior Great Books while raising her family in Minnesota. Ms. Reilly was involved with many community organizations, and was an advocate for the Rochester MN Public library, Public Radio and The Nature Conservancy.
She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and moved in 1988 to Fearrington Village, Pittsboro, NC to be close to her family.
Surviving are her children, Anne Reilly Fahim, Beth Reilly Gilmore and Richard N. Reilly; her grandchildren, Marisa and Austin Gilmore and Katie Capron Lammers and Meghan Reilly; her sister, Charity Ketzer Leng and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Herbert R. Ketzer and Josephine Nies Ketzer.
Visitation will be Friday December 7 at 9:00 am at the Harmon Funeral Home, Staten Island. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Queens.
A service of remembrance will be held in the multipurpose room at Glenaire on Monday, Dec 10th at 3:00 pm.
