Donna Davis Grubbs

Donna was born November 27, 1967 in Lumberton, NC to William Davis and Jeanne Edwards Davis. She was a graduate of Lumberton High School and NC State University. Donna was employed with Cooper and Lybrand Accounting Firm for several years following graduation and then devoted time to her children. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church in Cary.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, William Davis, Sr.; grandparents, John Carl Davis; and Walter Edwards.

She is survived her mother, Jeanne Davis of Lumberton; daughters, Kristen; Emerson; Katelyn; and Camryn Grubbs all of the home; grandmothers, Wilma Louise Edwards; and Grace Barnes Davis both of Lumberton; brothers, William James Davis and his wife, Denise; Walter Rodney Davis and his wife, Libby; Christopher Lee Davis; and Brian Keith Davis; sister, Carol Denise Davis all of Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary, NC 27518. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church and 7:00 -9:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, 3720 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, NC 28358.
