Wes, a Cary native, was born to Charles and Elizabeth Williams on December 19, 1957. A 1976 graduate of Cary High School, he went on to receive degrees in Business and Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He began his career in the IT industry with IBM in 1982 and worked in that field until his retirement from Lenovo in October, 2017.

He loved Durham Bulls games and concerts with friends and was a lifelong NC State fan who enjoyed many years of Wolfpack football and basketball. He loved traveling and enjoyed wonderful trips over the years with family.
Above all, Wes was a family man, a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a loyal friend. He was a person of faith who sought to live by the Christian principles that he held dear.
