Cary was born on July 15th, 1964 in Ocala, Florida to Willie Aaron Cornette and Jack Cornette. Cary moved to Savannah GA in 1973 and is a graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University. Cary has been a resident of the greater Raleigh area for more than 25 years and was an entrepreneur of several businesses during those years. He passed away suddenly due to heart failure and will be missed terribly by all those who knew and loved him.
Cary worked harder than anyone to establish relationships with people from all walks of life. He was a true friend to many. He loved the game of soccer and became a referee. Cary was a dedicated dog lover. He gave so much of himself to family and friends; never meeting a stranger and always able make the person he was engaging feel as though they were the most important person to him. He loved to be out on the water boating and fishing. He enjoyed teaching his many nieces and nephews how to love life and appreciate every minute. He had a servant’s heart and will be remembered for his kindness as well as his incredible laugh and sense of humor.
Cary married Stephanie Marie Stovall and they have 2 children, 12 year old twins; Ava Marie Cornette and Jaclyn Cornette.
Cary’s greatest legacy is the boundless love he had for his daughters. His life was centered on nurturing his girls to be all they could be and he lived for every moment he could spend with them. Nothing else came close to the depth of devotion he had for his precious daughters.
Cary is preceded in death by his father and leaves behind his mother, Willie. His siblings are Resi Cornette Passman, Joel B. Cornette (Katherine), Jeremy K. Cornette (Catherine), Tammy Cornette Sabo, and Johanna Cornette Marsan (Richard). He loved and was well loved in return for being a wonderful uncle by 5 nieces, 4 nephews and 13 great nieces and great nephews.
