Mr. Millsap was born July 22, 1935 in Bartow County, the son of the late Walter and Rachel Esther (Clark) Millsap and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Audrey Marie (Hazelwood) Millsap and brothers, Owen Millsap and Quillian Millsap. He was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Marines Corp, was retired from General Motors and the Bartow County Sheriff’s Department and was a member of the Cartersville Masonic Lodge #63.
Surviving is his daughter and son in law, Beverly and Paul Parker, sons and daughters in laws, Clark and Lori Millsap, Carey and Andie Millsap and Craig Millsap all of Cartersville, grandchildren, Carla Davis, David Millsap, Megan Efthimiadis, Matt Parker, Zachary Millsap, Logan Millsap, Elizabeth Millsap, Olivia Millsap and Gunner Millsap, great grandson, Carlos Efthimiadis, his brother and sister in law, Claude and Beatrice Millsap and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Willard and Rev. Charlie Marus officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Military Honors, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Firing Team and Honor Guard, Bartow County Fire Department Honor Guard and the Cartersville Masonic Lodge #63 Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers will be David Millsap, Mathin Parker, Zach Millsap, Logan Millsap, Michael Bond, Sam Millsap, Eric Millsap, Mark Millsap and Roger Millsap.
The family will receive friends at Owen Funeral Home Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or your favorite Charity.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Georgia is in charge of the arrangements.
