Ronald Coleman Casey

Mr. Casey was born November 3, 1946 in Cartersville, Georgia, son of the late A.C. Casey and Francis & Grace Moss Abercrombie. He graduated from Cass High School and went on to attend Shorter College in Rome. Coach Casey retired from Cass High School where he was a teacher, football and wrestling coach. He is the current Mayor of Kingston and a local historian. He is a member of the Kingston Masonic Lodge and is a Shriner. He is a member of the Kingston Baptist Church where he serves as Chairman of the Deacons.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hood Casey of Kingston; a daughter, Tara Padgett and husband Reggie; a daughter, Nicole Shelton and husband Jeremy; 3 grandchildren, Garrett Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Anna Padgett.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning June 16th at 11:00 am at Kingston Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Garland and Rev. Bill Cline officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the church.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will include Lamar Baker, Tommy Strickland, Tommy Jones, Mic Pyle, Robert Gentry,and Danny Deems. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Kingston Baptist Church.
