Mrs. Rita Godwin Roberts

Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Leila Godwin. Also, brothers Carrol Godwin and Hinton Godwin. She is survived by her husband, Frank Roberts; sons and daughters-in-laws; Tony and Diane Roberts, and Ken and Carla Roberts. She is also survived by two grandsons and their wives: Matthew and Rachel Roberts, and Bryan and Courtney Roberts. Additionally, she has six great grandchildren: Avery, Cameron, Axel, Sara, Remy, and Toni Roberts. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Purvis as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rita retired from Southern Company after 27 years of service. After retiring, Rita and Frank traveled to all fifty states where they enjoyed playing golf in each state. Additionally, they enjoyed visiting the national parks. Rita has been an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church since 1996.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church 31 Douglas St, Cartersville, GA with Rev. Patrick Latham officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home.
