Michael Hugh Carroll

He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace Hugh Carroll and Penny Brown Bryant, grandparents Lewis and Louise Brown, J.B. Carroll and Leola Evans Carroll, all of Cartersville, Georgia, and his nephew, Matthew S Barber of Olympia, WA. He is survived by his brother, Lance (Candis) Carroll of Cartersville, Georgia; sister, Cathy Carroll (Eric Liss); nephews, Austin (Jessica) Franklin, Michael Franklin, Jake (Alyssa) Barber, of Olympia, Washington and Grasen Carroll of Cartersville, Georgia; great nephews, Mikey Franklin, Hunter Barber, Jaxon Barber; great nieces, Angel Franklin, Penny Franklin, Savannah Franklin, Juniper Barber, all of Olympia, Washington; and aunt Debbye (Gary) Blalock of White, Georgia and uncle Lewis (Fannie) Brown of Hoschton, Georgia and various cousins.

Michael was born in Rome, Georgia on November 24, 1958, and was of the Baptist faith. He was retired as a Software Developer and Business Analyst. He worked in various locations in Georgia, Florida and Alabama before his retirement. Michael was a very kind and generous person. He loved his family, and friends, and enjoyed spending time with his nephews when they came to visit. He loved his dogs and all animals.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Josh James officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
