Mrs. Clay was born April 29, 1941 in Grayson, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Thomas Tackett and Hattie Baier Tackett.
Mrs. Clay was a homemaker and attended the Christian Fellowship Church in Cartersville, Ga. She was a devoted Christian and a loving wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Marion Paul Clay, one daughter, Deborah Epley, of Taylorsville, Ga., one son, Paul Clay, of Panama City, Florida, one grandchild, Joshua Epley, of Taylorsville, four sisters, Betty O’Banion, of Taylorsville, Georgia, Opal Hall, of Hitchens, Kentucky, Eula Wright, of Ashland, Kentucky and Pearl Merritt, of Acworth, Georgia, two brothers, Tommy Tackett, of Grayson, Kentucky and Ward Tackett, of Cleveland, Ohio, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 31, 2012 from the Chapel of the Malone Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the East Carter County Memory Garden.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. Saturday.
