Aileen graduated from Cartersville High School in 1966 and lived her entire life in Cartersville. She had the special gift of being a true and faithful friend to many people, and she was loved by all who knew her.
She had a wonderful sense of humor that could only be matched by her beautiful smile, which could light up a room. She had a laugh that was contagious. Her loving and caring heart were blessings to her family and friends.
She was a joy giver, always ready to listen and advise. Aileen often quoted one of her favorite sayings upon hearing of someone’s good deeds which was, “always thinking of others”, when it was, in fact, her who was always thinking of others.
Aileen loved the Atlanta Braves, college football and pro golf. She was an outstanding basketball player at Cartersville High School. She was a master at jigsaw puzzles. One of her most favorite things, however, was getting out and “riding around” with her friends.
She was a member of Trinity At The Well United Methodist Church, and sang in the choir for several years.
