Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Wayne Kirk; brothers, Edward Hodgood, Floyd Hobgood; step son, Gary Wright. She is survived by her children, Robert (Debbie) Massey, Ranger, GA, Annett Chelette (Ovidio) Martinez, Reverve, LA, Linda (Timothy) Padgett, Cartersville, GA, Billy (Barbara) Massey, Saltillo, TN, David Wright, Cartersville, GA; siblings, Claudia Whitmore, Woodstock, GA, Gerald Hobgood, Woodstock, GA, Patsy McCarty, Cartersville, GA, Bonnie Debord ,Waleska, GA, Geri Harper, Michael Hobgood, Jacksonville, FL; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2023 in chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Chaplin Dave Stewart and Pastor Steve McCarty officiating. The interment will follow at Pine Ridge Memorial Park with Willis Davenport Jr., Marshall Davenport Jr., Mark Davenport, Justin Massey, Kobe Davenport and Tyler Davenport serving as pallbearers and Michael Davenport serving as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Owen Funeral Home.
