Luther "L.C." Clay Owens Jr.

Luther Clay “L.C.” Owens Jr. Age 70 of Cartersville, GA passed away on December 13, 2024. He was proceeded in death by his Father Luther Clay Owens Sr.. Mother Ivanette Temples Davenport and Step-father, Wayne Davenport. Brothers Donnie Temples, Trammel Owens, and Harold Owens.

L.C. is survived by this Wife of 46 years, Patricia Waits Owens; Son, Jonathan Owens; Sister Wanda Smith; grandsons, Hunter Owens and Carter Owens; sister-in-law, Yvonne Mercer (Mike); niece, Carisa Mercado (Chuck); nephews, Chris Mercer ( Cassie), Todd Owens, Zachary Smith and many other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephew are Carson, Carmen, Ansley, Levi and many other great-nieces and nephews.

L.C. attended Cass High School. It was his Honor and privilege to serve his Country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. L.C. retired after 30 years from Goodyear Tire and Rubber. He also retired from All Star Lighting and Electrical. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. L.C. enjoyed camping at Coopers Creek and spending time with his grandsons, nieces and nephews.

Gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 1pm with a Celebration of L.C.’s Life at 2pm with Dr. Scott Shepard officiating at Owen Funeral Home,12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, GA 30120. (770) 382-3030
