Louis Vernon Farriba, born October 12, 1930, passed away April 29th, 2023 at the age of 92. Vernon is survived by his wife, Jerri Farriba of 55 years; daughters, Pam Culver (Mark) and Lisa Jackson (Tony), son, Zeke Farriba; grandchildren Noah Culver, Claire Morris (Matt), Chandler Jackson (Megan), Emma Jackson, and Mariana Farriba and three great grandchildren.
Vernon was a longtime member of Sam Jones Methodist Church. Vernon was a reservist with the Airforce and was called into active duty during the Korean War. He worked at Southern Motor Carrier Rate Conference in Atlanta, Georgia for 48 years and was the CEO from 1976 – 1995 when he retired. In his spare time, Vernon loved being at Lake Allatoona where over the years he enjoyed water skiing and teaching others how to ski. In addition, he enjoyed being at Seagrove Beach where he would walk on the beach and enjoy breath taking sunsets. He was an avid traveler with his friends and family. A person with a strong work ethic, good humor, faith, friend, loving husband, father, and grandfather that will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. He will be buried at the National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. In honor of Louis Vernon Farriba’s life, contributions can be made to Sam Jones Methodist Church.
