Linda had much to give and was well liked.  She always made a good impression; therefore, was memorable.  People sought Linda, liked to exchange with her in depth knowledge.  She was willing to lecture, teach, present a program on native American life whenever it was needed.  When she worked at the Etowah Valley Historical Society office, located in the 1903 Bartow County Courthouse, a Hollywood movie crew filmed in the historic courtroom upstairs.  The famous actors, among them Reece Witherspoon, hung out with Linda when not on set.  The gourmet food detail, which rented space in the Presbyterian Church kitchen, and provided food for the movie group, brought Linda a lunch every day.   She is broadly missed.

I am so sad to hear of Linda’s passing. I met her in 1992 when we moved to Cartersville. She lived 4 houses down from us. Linda was such a special lady to me. We did genealogy together and went on numerous trips to libraries and cemeteries, working on my family tree. She had a wealth of knowledge she shared with me. I will truly miss her.  I send my condolences to Fain and Alex and their family. God bless you and give you peace.

I've lost my longest and dearest friend.  Linda and I met in the second grade and have been friends ever since...more than 70 years.  She was the sweetest and funniest person and quite a storyteller.  I remember in the fourth grade, we had to write a story on our favorite subject.  Of course Linda's was Indians.  When she read hers, she read and read and read.  Finally the teacher looked at her paper.  She hadn't finished hers but she was reading, making it up as she went. We laughed about that for years.  The last time she visited me, she brought me a gift.  She had done my genealogy as a gift.  Its something I will always cherish.  During this time, her family is in my prayers.  Love you, Linda Lou!

Linda was a great lady; I called her my "SWEET NIECE". She loved everybody and everyone loved her. We pray the Lord gives comfort to her family and siblings.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Linda. She was a unique and special soul who brought a smile to many. She was one of my mother's first friends in high school when Mom moved to Cartersville. I met her years later when I went to work for the local paper. Linda never failed to ask about my mother and tell me stories of their friendship when they were younger. I admired her pride in her heritage and her love for sharing the stories that had been all but forgotten. 

Thank you for sharing your love and laughter with us. You will be missed.

GOD received a very special lady and she will be truly missed. I never seen her without a smile or kind word. Always working on vegetable garden or family history.

My deepest sympathy for Linda’s family and friends! She was an extraordinary woman full of love, wisdom, and knowledge. Me and Brandon will always remember our interesting conversations with her. She will be missed here on earth, but she is in the arms of The One who made her so lovely and who she was!
