Larry Van Davis, 81 of Cartersville, Georgia passed peacefully into Heaven on January 7, 2021. The son of Rev. Carl W. Davis and Mary Jackson Davis, he was born and spent his younger years in Cedartown Georgia, grew up in Smyrna, Georgia, and lived for many years in Marietta, Georgia.
Larry lived a full life and enjoyed hunting, cooking, helping others, and spending time with family and friends. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. Larry retired from Stevens Graphics in 2004.
Larry loved his wife, Bobbie Lewis Davis as well as all his family. He was proud of his children, Dawn Davis Heisler and Ross Davis, & daughter-in-law, Katherine Birmingham. He was an amazing Grandfather to Jordan Hood, (Stormie), & Aaron Hood, (Kelsie), and Great-Grandfather to Levi Hood.
He was also survived by his precious sisters, Carolyn Newton, (Richard), Marilyn Boren, (Curtis), Darleen Martin, (the late Almarine Martin), and Linda McEntyre, (Tony), and countless cousins, nieces & nephews, and in-laws who loved Larry dearly.
Larry was a proud member of Rowland Springs Baptist Church and was loved by his church family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rowland Springs Baptist Church elevator fund in his memory, would be a blessing to his legacy.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2020 at 12:00pm at Georgia Memorial Park, 2000 Cobb Pkwy SE, Marietta, Georgia 30060. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
