John is preceded in death by his father, Derek McMillan and his grandparents, Eddie and Darlene Walker. He is survived by his mother, Nadine McMillan; sister, Emily McMillan; grandparents, Eugene and Janis Massey McMillan; aunts and uncles, Stacey McMillan, Jeff and Michelle Davis, and Joy Skaggs; cousins, Kelly McMillan, Tiffany and Derek Dunagan, Bobby and Wendy Stephens, Jeff Davis, Cody Parker, and Candice Parker.
John attended Cloverleaf Elementary and Kingston Elementary as well as Cass Middle School. He also attended Georgia Cyber Academy and Excel Christian Academy. He had been taking online classes through SNHU and ENMU. In his early school days, he was an outstanding soccer player and participated in gymnastics. He later played football for Bartow Recreation. In middle school, he ran cross country and was in the band.
John loved our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, with all of his heart. John was a joy to his family. He loved making everyone laugh and possessed a great sense of humor. He loved his fur babies, Scout and Misty. He was always there ready to help with repairs around the house, yard, and cars. He possessed an innate talent when it came to motorcycle repairs and was in the process of starting his own motorcycle repair shop. John loved hiking, board games, watching movies, traveling, cooking, and riding his Harley-Davidson at top speed.
A Celebration of life Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 21, 2022 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Minister Chris Mcswain officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00pm. The interment will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery 543 Valley Grove Church Road
