Debbie is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Bish; children, AJ Wilson (Matt), Christopher Crapps (Duffy) and Ethan Bish; grandchildren, Hunter Wilson, Micah Wilson, Avrie Wilson, Kaylee Crapps and Grayson Crapps; parents, Joseph and Jeannette Long Sturniolo; brothers, Joe Sturniolo, III (Kay) and Steve Sturniolo (Renee); sister, Jaye Cannon (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews.
Although born in Trenton, New Jersey, Debbie lived the majority of her life in Marietta, Georgia graduating from Walton High School in 1978. Debbie never met a stranger and had a contagious, robust personality that always made everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She loved her grandchildren and would often cook meals with the anticipation of her home being filled with teenage boys. She knew that they would pile in, and they would need to be well fed. Debbie loved animals and many times felt they were running an orphanage for forgotten or loved animals.
Debbie found peace in caring for others and always having a loving and supportive home for two legged and four legged creatures all the same.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Owen Funeral Home. Reception will follow for all family at New Canaan Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Debbie’s honor to the Etowah Valley Humane Society, 36 Ladds Mountain Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
