Carolyn Ward

Mrs. Ward was born on May 13, 1953 in Piketon, OH, daughter of the late Robert Howard and Irene Williams.

Mrs. Ward was a successful business owner in Northwest Georgia for over twenty years. She enjoyed traveling in her RV and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kara Ward; beloved dog, Sassy.

Survivors include her loving husband of twenty-one years, Kenneth “Pap” Ward; daughters, DeLora (Tim) Wells, DeCarla Yates and Shawnna (Douglas) Watters; step-sons, Kenneth and Richard (Carolyn) Ward; grandchildren, Brittany (Brian) Spivey, Brandy Yates, Austin Ward, Cayden Ward and Carolyn Brooke Edmondson, Drew Ward, Bennet Ward and Judson Ward; great-granddaughter, Adelyn Grace Spivey; brothers, Jack (Agnes) Howard, Robert Howard and Thomas (Linda) Howard; sister, Sandy Kay (Robert) Weber; a host of nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Milo.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 9th of August, 2017 in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Sgt. John Howard officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, Acworth, GA.

Serving as pallbearers are Tim “In” Wells, Brian Spivey, Kenneth Ward, Richard Ward, Tim “Out” Starnes and Jaime Smith.

Friends are cordially invited to a gathering with the family from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the hour of service at Owen Funeral Home.
