Caleb Nathaniel Smith

Caleb Nathaniel Smith was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 2, 2020 at the young age of 21yrs old. Caleb was born November 6, 1998 in Dalton, Ga to the parents of Jacob Adam Smith and April Mae Arrington. Caleb had a desire and a dream to be a herpetologist. In his free time, Caleb enjoyed helping friends and family with special projects such as mechanical and demolition work, landscape, and hardscapes. Caleb was a loving, caring young man who took pride in helping others and spending time with those whom he loved.

Caleb was preceded in death by Jacob Adam Smith – father, Donnie Thomas Arrington - maternal grandfather, William "Billy" Smith - paternal grandfather, Ruby Mae Arrington maternal great grandmother.

Caleb was survived by mother; April Mae Arrington, stepfather; Daniel Dunn, sister; Chloe Danielle Howard, brother; Cannon Daniel Dunn, sister; Mary Catherine Dunn, maternal step grandfather; James "Jim" Lamp, maternal grandmother; Martha Arrington Lamp, paternal step grandfather; Calvin Stanley, paternal grandmother; Donna Stanley, paternal step grandmother; Terri Poarch, maternal great grandfather; Thomas Arrington, paternal great grandfather; Eugene Pippins, paternal great grandmother; Margie Hollis.

Caleb also is survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lastly, the family would like to thank Kevin Bunch from Resaca, Ga, a special friend of the family, who searched diligently with so many others. The family greatly loves and appreciates the countless hours you dedicated to finding Caleb.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with Rev. Josh James officiating.
