Raised in Mississippi, Ann graduated from Clinton High School where she was a majorette in the High School band. In 1953, she married Ted Langford and they settled in Jackson, Mississippi where they started a family. In 1965, the family moved to Georgia for Ted to attend seminary. Ann worked at Eastman Kodak for 25 years, retiring as Supervisor of Financial Services.
Ann was an active member of the Sam Jones Methodist Church, and Marco Sunday School Class. She served as an Officer with the Auxiliary at Cartersville Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling and was a lover of dogs. Most of all, Ann loved her family and enjoyed all being together at “the farm”.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Ted Langford, Sr. Survivors include her brother, Bobby Ellisor Jones, and her children and spouses, Ted Langford, Jr. and Janet Langford, of Peachtree Corners, Cindy Langford of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Doug Langford, of Acworth, her grandchildren and spouses, Erica and Cliff Robinson and Megan and Andrei Bunce; and seven great grandchildren Jack, Anna, Ben and Luke Robinson and John Preston, Brooks and Mabel Bunce.
Ann’s family would like to thank her loving caregivers Jerrie Clark, Naomi Hamrick and Donna Autry who grew close to Ann and cared for her like their own.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Sam Jones Methodist Church, in Cartersville, Georgia with Rev. Lathem Postell and Rev. Kevin Lobello officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Andrei Bunce, Cliff Robinson, Jack Robinson, Stan Bearden, Ricky Cole, and George Manners.
The family will receive friends in the family life center prior to the service on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Etowah Valley Humane Society in Cartersville.
Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, Cartersville, Ga., is in charge of the arrangements.
