Theodore "Ted" G. Conklin

Ted was born on October 13, 1949 in Antioch, California the son of George and Alice Conklin. He was a graduate of Yuba City High School, Marysville California and Yuba Community College where he majored in police science. He served in the USAF and was honorably discharged in 1969. He served with the Yuba City, California Police Department from 1971 – 1993, where he started as a Police Cadet and rose to the rank of Sergeant before his retirement. Additionally, he served as a Sacramento County Sheriff’s court security assigned to the Sacramento County Courthouse until his final retirement in 2011. Ted was a true Law Enforcement professional and was highly respected by his co-workers and supervisors.

Ted married the love of his life Dianne in 2003 and they moved from Modesto, California to Stagecoach, Nevada where they spent many happy days enjoying hiking, shooting, boating, and raising pure-bred Doberman Pinschers. Ted loved the outdoors and especially loved boating and hiking the areas around Lake Tahoe. Ted was Mr. Fix it, always making home improvements and even trying his hand at building sheds and patio covers. Ted was also fabulous chef, trying recipes that inspired him from food channels. You couldn’t have asked for a better friend, husband, lover, soul mate. I love you Ted.

Ted was a devoted husband, father and is survived by his wife Dianne, his stepson Joaquin Williams; his previous wife Linda Brebac and their son Michael; daughter in-law Jennifer, and grandson Elijah. He has joined his father (George), mother (Alice), and his 3 sisters in heaven.

Ted was a positive influence on all those whom he met. He touched many lives and made a difference in the world during his time on this Earth. He will be greatly missed.
