Michael D. Waldren was born to Ted and Lois Waldren on January 1, 1949, in Salinas, California. He grew up in California and spent much of his life between Southern California and Western Nevada. He served his country in the Vietnam conflict from 1966-1972. Michael also lived in Alpine and the San Diego Area, working with his father in a family-owned business. He owned several businesses: Red’s Custom Concrete, Redbeard and Sons Construction and A&M Machine Shop and was well known in the Napa Valley, Carson City, Gardnerville, Lake Tahoe and Reno areas for his building and construction skills. Michael is survived by his wife, Ann Waldren, his younger son and family, David and Cristin Waldren and their children Ellie Schlee, Kris Schlee and Owl Waldren. Michael was preceded in death by his oldest son, Christopher Waldren. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa (grandpa), uncle, friend, in-law, surrogate father and mentor to many. He was active in the neighborhood watch and social circle. He will be missed by those who loved him and called him a friend.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at the Stake Center, 411 N Saliman Rd. Carson City, NV 89701.
