Janet Marie Johnson

On Thursday, March 25th, 2021, Janet Marie Johnson, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend passed away at the age of 77. Janet was born on April 12th, 1943 in St. Louis Missouri to William and Mildred Frankenburger. She, along with her three beautiful sisters and one brother were raised in southern California. She married the love of her life, Clifton (Johnny) Johnson in 1963 and they raised one son Brian.

Janet was cherished by all who were privileged to know her for her brilliant intellect, gentle nature, keen sense of humor, strong faith in God and unconditional love. She always had a weak heart and it was understood by all who knew her that it was because she gave too much of it away.

Her devoted husband Johnny would always say she was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on and after 58 years of marriage, he still saw her as the spirited young woman who couldn’t help wracking up speeding tickets in their 1965Mustang fastback.

Janet was a force of nature, fierce in her commendable career, yet beautifully delicate, classy and sophisticated in character. Janet was glamourous and never without a sensational pair of shoes.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and younger brother Bill. She is survived by her husband Johnny, son Brian, daughter in law Debbie, sisters Jeanie, Jackie, Judy,granddaughters Samantha, Melody and three great grand-daughters and her best friend Jenny.
