Born on Oct. 31, 1954 in Corpus Christi, TX, Tom spent his childhood in Houston, Tx. and attended Westbury High School. He went on to graduate from Texas A & M University in 1977 and had a career spanning 33 years in the Petroleum industry as an Engineer. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, sailing, hunting, fishing, and participating in Boy Scouts activities with his two sons. A faithful servant of the Lord, Tom was an active member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the Texas A & M Former Students Association and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
A devoted husband and father, he leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Mary K (Havel) Kohutek; and three children: daughter Jennifer (Kohutek) Dirks and husband Nathan, son Brian and wife Jennifer Kohutek, and son Mark and wife Jamie Kohutek; as well as three beautiful grand-daughters; Shelby, Ava, and Elizabeth. He is also survived by his younger brother Joe Kohutek, wife Beth, and children Aaron and Gabrielle. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; Helen Uptmore Kohutek and Henry Kohutek as well as his brother, John Kohutek.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday February 1, 2018 at 7:00 pm and A Memorial Service will be held on Friday February 2, 2018 at 10:30 am. Both services will take place at St. Catherine Of Siena Catholic Church 1705 E. Peters Colony Rd. Carrollton, TX 75007
