James Edward Payne, “Jim”, born 11/29/59, passed away on 7/21/18. Jim grew up in Golden Valley, MN and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Following graduation, he moved to Texas where he was a successful program manager at several leading industry companies. Jim loved to spend his free time working on projects with his sons, supporting their sports teams, and serving in boy scouts. He loved household projects and performing magic tricks. Jim was an active member of his church and a well-respected friend and neighbor. Jim will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Robbie; three sons, Tyler (Kelly), Brian, and Stephen; parents, Edward and Marlyce Payne; sisters, Melanie Kjellberg, and Leslie Green; and several nephews and nieces. Service will begin at 2:00pm, Friday, July 27 at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Flower Mound, TX, with visitation from 1-2pm. Committal service will be at 3:30pm at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, TX. Memorials to the family are preferred in lieu of flowers.
