Jackie Ray Evans, known by most as Jack, was born on April 24, 1945, to Albert Evans and Minnie Rose Knott in Marshall, MO. Jack fell asleep in death on November 24, 2020, in Carrollton, TX, with his wife by his bedside after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Jack is survived by his wife, Maria Andrea Evans, his children: Jay Brent Evans, Matt Douglas Evans, Sara Linn Evans Barker, Lesley Ann Lyons, Ashley Renee Robinson, Priscilla Hardie, Daniel Gregory Moreno, and their spouses, twenty-four grandchildren and one great grandson, Baylor, as well as his siblings, Bill Evans, Sharon Lancaster, Rhonda Douglas and their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jack loved to share Bible truths with others. He also very much enjoyed music, farming, motorcycles, airplanes and travel. He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit and use of old country adages.
Jack was baptized and became a minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1992. He served as an elder in the Farmers Branch Congregation. He was a student of the Bible and helped others learn about the beautiful future that our Creator promises. One of his cherished beliefs was the resurrection of the dead back to life in a restored paradise earth (Acts 24:15). This was Jack’s hope for the future and we look forward to seeing Jack again just as he was in his youthful days.
