Howard, as he was known to all, is survived by his wife, Betty “Dorinne” Williams Reynolds of Carrollton, Texas and his two daughters, Stacye Robison and husband Kenny of Carrollton, Texas and Kellye Gautier and husband Tommy of Bentonville, Arkansas. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Kristin Walker and husband Justin, Adrienne Woods and husband Jonathan, Matthew Robison, Nathan Gautier and wife Kristen, Natalie Wilson and husband Joseph, Sarah Robison, Jonathan Gautier and Timothy Gautier as well as two great grandchildren (twins) who are still on their way. Howard was also survived by his brother, Tommy Reynolds and wife Dorothy of Houston, Texas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Howard Reynolds, Jr. and Sybil Reynolds both of Houston, Texas.
Howard grew up in Houston, Texas and attended high school at Jefferson Davis High in Houston where he starred in basketball. Upon graduation, he went to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas where he earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree which helped to prepare him for the ministry. He pastored churches in Texas, New Mexico and California. After retiring from the pastorate, he co-founded a business, which he owned for over 10 years. He was married for 65 years to the love of his life, Dorinne.
He loved people, pósole, anything with Hatch Green Chili Sauce, fishing in Galveston, shrimp, a round of golf (even in the sleet), his grandchildren, hats of various shapes and styles, more shrimp, sharing a good cup of coffee with his friends, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
His favorite verse was Colossians 2:9-10 which says, “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.”
