Bonnie was born September 22, 1925, in Riverton, Kansas to William and Chloe Allen. Bunny, as her Mother called her, was the youngest of the four Allen children. Bonnie met her Husband, Robert Beam, at a USO dance in El Paso, Texas in early 1943. Bob, as he was known, had just finished OCS at Penn State and was stationed at Ft. Bliss. It was love at first sight so they were married in March 1943 just before 2nd Lt. Beam began his military service overseas.
Four children were born to Bob and Bonnie as they traveled due to Bob’s career as a forester and his desire to work in different regions.
Bonnie and Bob’s third child, Jennifer, succumbed to ovarian cancer at age 48 in 1998.
Bonnie became an LVN and worked in a doctor’s office in Virginia Beach, VA where they finally settled down after residing in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, and Texas.
She was a faithful servant of God, and a mighty prayer warrior, serving along with Bob at every church they joined in their new hometowns.
Bonnie is survived by her Daughter, Geri Brooks, also of Denton, Texas; Son, Michael Beam and Wife, Silvia, of New York City; Son, Scott Beam and Wife, Bridget, of Suffolk, VA.
Grandchildren Amy Miller and Bonnie Frizzell, Lauren Giron and Thomas Beam; Charles Hartley and Brandy Hartley; Andrew, Scott, Tyler and Gloria Beam.
Great Grandchildren; Nick and Marley Frizzell; Isabella, Alexandra and Vanessa Keilbach; and Beau Miller.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Chloe Allen; her two Sisters, Margaret Pichler and Jane Kautsch; her Brother, Richard Allen; her Daughter Jennifer Musto; and her Husband Major Robert Beam.
Her favorite scripture was Isaiah 46:4; “Even to you old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will save you.”
She will be buried alongside Major Beam at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at First Baptist Church in Denton, Texas.
