Barbara Lenker Tredick

Barbara L. Tredick, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 20, 2017 at her home in Carrollton, Texas. Born April 6, 1943 in Harrisburg, PA, she is preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Gladys N. (Williams) Lenker of Elizabethville, PA, her brother, Warren G. Lenker, and her beloved late husband, William H. Tredick, Jr. of Lebanon, PA. Barbara graduated high school from Upper Dauphin High School in 1961, then went on to get her Bachelors in Nursing from Jefferson University in Philadelphia. After over 40 years of practicing, directing, and teaching nursing, she retired from her post at Kapiolani Community College in Hawaii and moved to Texas. Barbara had a zest for life- loved God, loved her family and friends, and loved to travel. She is survived by her son, William (Dana) Tredick III, her daughter, Tracy (Alan) Weinman, and her grandsons, Austin and Chase Weinman. Services will be held in both Texas and Pennsylvania. Services in Texas will be on Wednesday, May 24, at 4pm at St. Andrew United Methodist Church on Plano Parkway in Plano, TX. Services in Pennsylvania will be held at Hoover Funeral Home in Elizabethville, PA on Saturday, May 27. The Visitation will begin at 4 pm and the Service will begin at 4:30 pm followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery.
