Barbara Cooke Meyer

Barbara Bayne Cooke Meyer (known to most as “Barby”), 72, passed away on December 19th, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 4th, 1948 to Douglas and Billye (Bilbrey) Cooke.

After graduating from Robstown High School in 1966, Barby moved to Dallas, Texas, where she would meet her husband, Blakeman Q. Meyer III.

Barby was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her family with all of her heart and never met a stranger. Barby enjoyed reading, watching movies and, more than anything, spending time with friends and family.

Barby was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Blake, son Brad Meyer (Anabel), grandchildren Arnie and Andrew, brother Thomas Cooke, sister Kim Tucker, nephew Thomas Cameron, niece Jennifer Tucker, and numerous other family and friends – all of whom she loved dearly.

While we are deeply saddened by our loss, we are so very grateful for the time we had with her here on earth and rest easy knowing she has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior.

A private memorial service for immediate family will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the North Texas Food Bank.
