 Obituario de Ronald Keith Allen
Ronald Keith Allen, 72, of Westfield, Indiana departed this life Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his home. He was born December 27, 1948 in Indianapolis to the late Jack Keith and Barbara Jean (Ely) Allen. He had spent two years in high school while in south Texas, returned to Franklin, Indiana where he graduated from Franklin High School. Ron had lived in Brownsburg, Danville, Carmel and Westfield. Ron was drafted into the United States Army at the age of 19 and served his country in Vietnam in the Americal Division on LZ Professional. After his discharge in 1971 he worked various jobs before beginning his 18 year career at Marsh Supermarkets where he worked in numerous capacities. He was an assistant store manager when he left Marsh in 1993 to begin his career as a residential Realtor. He had found his calling! Ron was a kind and gentle soul who was gregarious, social, fun-loving, dedicated, hardworking, loyal and most importantly loving. Ron was passionate about music and began playing guitar at the age of 15. Music, playing guitar and singing was his lifelong passion. Ron was happiest loving his family and friends with great music, good food and a glass of fine wine. Diagnosed with ALS in 2011, Ron lived his last years with strength, grace, humor and love. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Pamela Kay Estes, Thomas Dale Allen, Michael Lee Allen and Steven Wayne Allen and his step-daughter, Kim Skyes. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Allen; beloved children, Peter-Jon (Catherine) Allen, Joel Taylor Allen and Lance Edward Robinson; grandsons, Jacob Bennet Allen and Zane Caldwell Allen; sisters, Debra Lynn Underwood and Jacqueline Anne Allen; brother, Donald Gene Allen; former wife, Gloria Taylor; father-in-law, Donald Jack (Judy) Hill; brother-in-law, Alan Jay (Sarah) Hill; sister-in-law, Catherine Lynn (Denny) Jones; special nieces, Kristen Allen Poole, Amber Allen, Lydicia Allen, Shane McLeese, Cecilia Hill and Emily Hill; special nephews, Jonathan Raison, Christopher (Zelmardeeda) Raison and Jacob Hill as well as a host of other treasured relatives and dear friends. Special recognition to Lauren Daniels and India Thompson whose aide and care was so appreciated and priceless. Due to current restrictions, no memorial service will be held at this time. Ron would have loved us all to get together and celebrate his life with a big party. So for now, if you are so inclined, put on your favorite Hawaiian shirt or party clothes, play your favorite music, pour a glass of your favorite beverage (alcohol or otherwise!) and raise your glass in a toast to Ron – to a life well lived… If you would like to honor Ron’s life with a charitable donation, please consider the following organizations which provided priceless support during his ALS journey: Kentucky/Indiana Paralyzed Veterans of America, 2835 Holmans Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130 – www.kipva.org.donate or to Voluntary Service Department, Richard L.
