 Obituario de Gina R. Nulph
It is with deep sorrow, but ultimate joy that we announce the passing of Gina R. (Head) Nulph, 58, of Carmel, Indiana. Gina was born on November 12, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and passed peacefully at her home in Carmel on November 8, 2024, surrounded by her husband and children with an abundance of love. She knew the love of Christ and, from the moment of her diagnosis with Glioblastoma, she handled it with courage, strength, dignity, but most of all peace. Gina, Momma Nulph, Gigi, Punkie was a ray of sunshine who never knew a stranger, sported a spunky attitude and a zest for life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her with a selfless nature and desire to help all who were in need. She was warmly known best for Sunday dinners, always having after school snacks in the pantry or a home cooked meal at dinner time, a ride to every practice or a bed to nap in, festive holiday decorations year-round, but at the utmost providing counsel, wisdom, life experience or even at times a little tough love. Her pride was in making sure everyone -- her kids, their friends, her family, her friends -- had respite in her home with her comfort and unconditional love. Gina's inability to say the word "No" put her in many positions that only on-the-job experience could support. Whether it was a volunteer for countless organizations and efforts, a team mom, an executive assistant to state officials, or a small business owner; she excelled at it all. Ultimately, her greatest and most loved vocation was that of mother, caregiver, provider, and comforter. Endlessly more Martha than Mary, she finally found her mission and calling as the rectory housekeeper at Our Lady of Mount Carmel; where she graciously cared for the resident priests, visiting priests, seminarians, visitors and guests with such a selfless and unconditional love you'd assume they were already in the family. Comfort was her gift, but comfort food was her specialty. Gina loved to travel, especially if it involved sun and sand. She loved anything involving her children or grandchildren, outdoor concerts, wine tastings, rain storms on the porch, a good RomCom, or a good book. By way of marriage she was introduced and became a fanatic of all things Black and Gold (Steelers, Penguins, Pirates specifically) and anything she could explore, enjoy and find fun in "The Burgh". Gina and her husband, Mike, of 34 years had 5 children: Zach (significant other Christin Peterson), Chas (Callie Webster), Claire (Dale Musgrove), Laney (Nick Barrow), Sophie (fiancee Ian Jones) and 5 grandchildren: (Hailey, Channing, Teddy, Riggs, and Hazel) who will greatly miss her but always celebrate her. Gina is also survived by her mother Vicki Head, her sisters Sonja Reuter (Rick) and Miranda Green (Eric), and her sisters-in-law Sheryl Nulph, Jennifer Nulph and Julia Johnson (John), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gina was preceded in death by her father Tom Head, brother Brenen Head, and father- and mother-in-law Charles and Frances Nulph. A visitation to celebrate Gina's life will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, Carmel, Indiana, 46032 on Wednesday November 13th, 2024, from 5pm - 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated the following day (same location) at 11am with additional visitation one hour prior. Gina's family extends their heartfelt gratitude and love to all who have reached out, supported, and just prayed for her during this journey. We are confident that she now rests in Christ's loving arms, but are equally confident that she has already cooked a few meals, rearranged some furniture, and probably painted a couple rooms with a new color palette. Gina will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Rest well, until we meet again. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Seminarian Fund or to Our Lady of Peace Cemetery to benefit the Our Lady of La Salette Infant Section in Gina's beautiful honor.
