Deborah Ann (Higgins) Curry 1945 – 2020 Deborah Ann (Higgins) Curry Carmel, IN – Passed away peacefully January 5, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. “Debbie” was born in Detroit, MI on May 30, 1945 to Francis Higgins and Virginia (Riley) Higgins (both deceased) and was raised in Jackson, MI. Debbie graduated from St. John’s High School (Jackson, MI) in 1964. Debbie worked for various cafeterias in schools and hospitals, most recently at Westfield High School from 2002 until 2010. Debbie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dennis, her sister Mary Ann Radsheid (John), brother Mike Higgins (Pam), brother Bill Higgins (Jill), three children Shannon Hunter (Bruce), Patrick Curry (Leslie), and Katie Vincent (Gary). Debbie is also survived by nine grandchildren (Christopher, Stephen, Mary Kate, Brinkley, Aidan, Macy, Ashlyn, William, Steve). Debbie was a kind and loving person that enjoyed spending time at Saint Maria Goretti, her local Catholic parish, working in the food pantry and participating in bible studies, Silver Angel meetings, and Christ Renews His Parish (CHRP) gatherings. Debbie also enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, and crossword puzzles. Debbie was a frequent member at Rock Steady Boxing in Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Rock Steady Boxing (https://rocksteadyboxing.org) Visitation services will be held at Leppert Mortuary, 900 N. Rangeline Road, Carmel, IN on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A celebration Mass will be held at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Spring Mill Road, Westfield, IN on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am, with visitation starting at 10:00 am.
