Charles Bowen

Charles A. Bowen, 92, of Indianapolis, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Westfield, in Westfield, Indiana. He was born on January 6, 1927 to Cornelius M. and Wilma Bowen in Indianapolis, Indiana. Charles was a 1945 Broad Ripple High School graduate, in Indianapolis.

Charles worked over 47 years for Eusey Auto Service, Inc. in Indianapolis.

Charles.is survived by his daughters, Debra L.Haggard (Gordon S), Wilma A. Bowen and son, Charles N. Bowen (Anne); grandchildren, Gordon C. Haggard (Ashley), Jeffrey T. Haggard (Erin), Melissa L. Haggard, Joshua C. Bowen, Katherine D.(Kevin) McClelland, Ruelyn Garrett, and step-grandchildren Robert G. Tonnis, Christopher S. Tonnis. Six great-grandchildren, McKenna, Killian, Declan, Regan, Gavin, Conlan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Macel Jeanette Bowen, daughter, Sandra J. Bowen, brother, William Bowen, and sister, Helen Eusey.

Services will be held at Leppert Mortuary on Friday, June 21, 2019, 900 N. Rangeline Road, Carmel, Indiana with Pastor Joe Johnson of Lawrence United Methodist Church officiating. Viewing is from 9:00 – 11:00 AM, Service to begin right after viewing, with burial at Union Chapel Cemetery 8301 Union Chapel Road, Indianapolis.

The family of Charles A. Bowen would like to thank St. Vincent Hospice and staff for providing services that helped their father from the day he entered Hospice to the end of his life. They made sure every aspect of his health care was taken care of and their staff was able to guide him through the end of life process.
