Ruby Deloris (Stump) Miller, age 93, of Cape Coral, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 17, 2021. Born October 6, 1927, she was a graduate of Riley High School, South Bend, Indiana.
Ruby was employed by Lakeville Elementary and LaVille Junior/Senior High Schools from 1966 until 1979. She sang with the Stump Sisters Quartet for many years, singing old hymns in church services, revivals and funerals. Known as an extraordinary baker, she perfected cake rolls, pies and dinner rolls.
In Ruby’s retirement years her artistic talent awakened. She produced beautifully crafted Christmas cards, hand painted for beloved family and friends. Mastering the technique of reverse glass painting, Ruby painted at a professional level.
Ruby is survived by a brother, Paul Stump, her three sons: Dan Miller (Becky), Darrell Miller (Jessica), Durwin Miller (Waneta), and her daughter Darlene Newcomer (Gary). In addition, she is survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her spouse of 68 years, Duewaine, parents Reverend Edward Stump and Elizabeth (Blocker) Stump, three brothers and two sisters.
Private ceremony and internment under the care of Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery, Cape Coral, Florida.
