Ronald Carter Toney

Ronald "Ron" Carter Toney, age 77, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Ronald was born April 16, 1944. He was born in New York City and in 1946 he and his parents moved to Columbia, SC. In 1951 the family moved to Whitestone, NY. As teenager he loved to work on cars with his friends. His other hobbies included reading, fishing, crabbing, and fixing anything that needed to fixed. In 1968 he married his first wife Carol Monaco and they lived in Flushing, NY until 1973, when their first born, Ryan, arrived and they bought a home in Westbury, NY. Four years later their second child, Shannon, arrived. On December 24th 1984 he married Geraldine "Geri" Rizzo where they lived in East Islip, NY. 2014 they did what every New Yorker does at retirement, " We're moving to Florida!" Ron worked 40 plus years as a Medical Systems Engineer for General Electric Medical Systems and Enraf Nonius. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Geri, his adoring children, Ryan and Shannon, his grandchildren, Dylan, Evangeline, and Garrett, his sister Jeanne, his brother Noel, his Aunt, his cousins, his nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Mia.

A visitation for Ronald will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. An entombment will occur Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
