Rita Krueger

Rita Krueger, age 81, Cape Coral, FL, passed away peacefully on January 12 surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken Krueger, and her daughter Theresa Morosco. Rita was the loving daughter of John Rill and Rita Battles.

Survived by daughters Laura Kolls, Maryjo (Ken Lambke), Kathleen (Mark Drew) and son John Krueger (Stacy), as well as sisters Diana and Gloria. Loving Grandmother of 11, Great-Grandmother of one, and devoted Aunt to many. Friend to anyone who met her.

Rita spent her professional career of over 40 years as a registered nurse in Chicago and later in SW Florida. Her loving nature provided comfort to her many patients and people in her care. Rita’s sunny disposition and eternal optimism was felt by anyone who was in her presence. Rita and Ken were actively involved in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and made many great lifelong friends within the VFW community. Rita will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17th, 11 am at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. South, Cape Coral. Prayer service to follow at 1 pm.
