Maurice E. “M.E.” McCoy Jr., 89, of Bokeelia, Florida, went to be with his heavenly family on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Born September 20, 1923 to Maurice E. McCoy Sr. and Vera Hoag McCoy in Little Rock, Arkansas, "M.E." was preceded in death by his parents, a stillborn twin, and his loving wife of 66 years, Audrey (Hoyle). He is survived by brother Richard McCoy of Naples, Florida; sister, Mayneal Wayland of Middlebury, Vermont; sons, Leonidas F. McCoy and wife Louise of Pettigrew, Arkansas, and Maurice E.(Ed) McCoy of Bokeelia Florida; grandchildren, Joanna McCoy and her husband Will Seitz of Boston, Massachusetts, Marina McCoy of Brooklyn, New York, and Audrey Lee McCoy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and great grandson Noah Hoyle Seitz. Memorial services to be held Saturday, September 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Island United Methodist Church, 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, Fl.,33922([email protected]) followed by inurnment at Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, Florida.
