Lee Roy Jones

Lee Roy Jones passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 77 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born in Poteet, Texas to Norman and Betty Jones. Lee was the widower of Pamela Frances Jones to whom he was married for over 50 years.

Lee received his high school diploma from Clintondale High School in Clinton Township, Michigan. From there, he entered the Army and served with the 101st Airborne from 1966 - 1967 and then worked with the 82nd Airborne from 1968 - 1969. When he returned home, he studied at Henry Ford Community College to become a Millwright/Welder. Then he began his career at Chrysler where he worked for 43 years.

Lee was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pamela; his parents, Norman and Betty' and his sister, Carrie Jones.

He is survived by his 3 children: William Roy, Christopher Lee, and Lindsey Marie; his sister, Patricia Corner, his brother-in-law, Wayne Corner and his grandchildren, Ronnie Lee Jones and Maria Grygier.

Lee enjoyed boating with his friends, scuba diving with his friends and grandson, coaching little league and middle school football and photography.

He will be laid to rest on Tuesday, October 14, 2024 with military honors at Sarasota National Military Cemetery. Lee will be missed by his family and friends.
