Ed was born and raised in Wanatah, IN. After graduating from Wanatah High School, Ed married the love of his life, a true home school love of the “cheerleader and basketball player” on November 23, 1963. That day Ed started his happiness in life with his love, Vicky. At the age of 18 he started his career at Ford Motor Company at the Chicago Stamping Plant in Chicago Heights, IL. Ed retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 1/2 years of service at the young age of 51. When he started at Ford, he was a Forklift driver several years later he took the position of Carpenter at Ford. Ed’s passion was always salvaging old houses. He was salvaging before salvaging became cool. He used the savaged material from the houses to remodel his family’s home or building things. One project was restoring his son Ric’s first home, a Victorian home from top to bottom. Ed also had the love of Diecast cars. He had many and took pride in displaying them. Ed is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral where he volunteered his time doing “Tuesday’s Together”.
Ed is survived by his loving spouse of 56 years, Victoria C. (Koselke) Falls. His two children, Richard T. Falls of Alva, Florida and Jacqueline S. (Falls) Ohime of Cape Coral, Florida (Jeff Ohime). Two grandchildren he absolutely adored, Jakoby Joseph and Jorin Jon. His grandchildren meant the world to him. He was always there to support them doing what they loved. He had a special bond with them that will live in their hearts forever! He is also survived by his brother, Gregory A. Falls of Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister.
A viewing from 10:00-12:00 AM will be held at Coral Ridge Funeral Home in Cape Coral on Tuesday, September 8 followed by a Service at 12:00.
