Hard to believe it’s been a year. Delma was seldom without a smile and her laugh was so infectious! When I look back over these photos at the great trips I remember how fearless she could be. When we went to Disney she made sure there wasn’t a ride she didn’t do on! Nor a part we didn’t see.  She treated me like a daughter. I miss her, but look forward to seeing her again, and wondering what adventures she will have. 

While we did not get to know our spiritual sister, Delma, very well, we were drawn to her personality as the speaker described her so well today. She and her husband raised beautiful children and grandchildren whom we love dearly. May the resurrection hope sustain all of you until you embrace your loved ones again very soon. Please invite us to celebrate with you on that occasion. Until that time, envision all of our prayers making their way to the throne of our creator on your behalf. 

Although we did not know Delma very well, we were drawn to her as the speaker described her love for the truth during today's beautiful memorial service on Zoom. She and her husband raised precious children and grandchildren. We love them and pray for them. May the resurrection hope sustain all of you until you embrace your loved ones again very soon.

Soon your tears of sorrow will be replaced with tears of joy, as you are reunited with your beloved mother/grandmother during the resurrection. it has always  been clear to see the deep love and strong family bond that your family has. we saw it even more looking at the photos in the memorial. we know you have been through much grief in these past months as you have coped with the illness and loss of your parents and grandparents. we look forward, along with you all, to a coming joyful day when we can all reunite in peace and sheer happiness, seeing  our loved ones healthy and with us again. until that day we hope to keep encouraging and comforting one another in any way we can. we love you. She will be missed. She loved to laugh, she did that as often as can remember. I loved seeing photos of her as a young woman too. So beautiful.  Thank you for sharing. I’ll always think of her as my second mother. And all of you as my siblings. 

Delma had a great sense of humor. I remember when Delma bought Party napkins on clearance. The napkins said "Bless this special occasion." Well, one day she ran out of TP,  guess what she put in the bathroom. She well be missed as will Ricky.


A day at the beach with family and life long friends we still consider friends.  Picture is of Delma, Ricky, Delmalynn, Lisa and Roxanne.  Miss you mom and dad!

Jack and I send our deepest sympathies to everyone in the family, especially my dear friend Lisa  - no matter what we are never ready to let our loved ones go - especially our Moms!  I only met Delma once - at Noah's graduation party - it was obvious she was proud of her family and loved them dearly.  I feel for the grandchildren too - Alyssa and Noah especially.  Grand parents are special!  They say YES, when Mom says NO!  May you all find comfort in each other and the good memories you have, and may you look ahead with confidence the sure hope for the future!  With much love to you all, Ginny
