She was born January 19, 1959, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey to the late Ruth (Hankins) Tracy and John “Jack” Tracy. She graduated from Toms River North High School where she played on the high school basketball team. Shortly after graduation she moved with family to the small town of Hohenwald, TN before eventually moving to the sunny beaches of Southwest Florida.
Debbie was a long-time resident of the Cape Coral community and a proud Floridian. She also served as a dedicated employee of the Lee County Clerk of Court for over 30 years.
Among her many talents, she was an amazing cook and had a way of communicating fluently through food. Many gatherings would start with a meal or a recipe that reminded her of “you”. As an enthusiast of the coastal environments she called home, she could frequently be found on the boat with a fishing rod and a cocktail in hand. She always had a way of enjoying the simple things in life with an infectious laugh and a bright smile. She was an amazing mother to her four children, a loving wife, a great sister and a kind and generous soul to her friends who she treated like family.
In addition to all these amazing qualities, she was the strongest woman we have ever known. She fought a horrible disease for many years and would still find strength to giggle with you about the small things that make up life. She would not have wanted this disease to define her. So, when you think of Debbie, please remember the silly faces she always made when you tried to take her picture, her unwavering passion for the Florida Gators (Go Gators! Woot woot!), how she did a little dance when her food was yummy, the comfort her hugs gave you and the joy it gave her that you loved her chicken enchilada recipe. Those are the things that made life a whole lot better through her big blue eyes.
She will be missed in more ways than words can do justice.
Left behind to treasure her memory is her husband Sam Moreo & her children; Melinda Repperger, Graham (Kathy) Repperger, Crystal (Dean) Bazzle and Darrel (Kelsey) Greer, grandchildren; Ayden, Lyla and Cameron, sisters: Jacquelyn (Kenneth) Davis, Robin (Ed) May, Wanda Tracy, brother: Pete Tracy, many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her late husband Richard Repperger, her brother Doug Tracy, and her parents Ruth and John “Jack” Tracy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL 33909. Please indicate that your donation is in honor of Debra T. Repperger.
Graveside Service will be held on October 26, 2024, at 10:00 am at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery.
