Dean Roger Swenson

Dean R. Swenson, 84, of Croydon, NH and Cape Coral, FL passed away March 2, 2019. Dean was born September 21, 1934 in Lebanon, NH. He grew up in the New Hampshire and Vermont area and graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, VT. In 1956 he married Sheila Lane. They resided in the Croydon/Grantham, NH area where they raised their three children, Cory, Mitchell and Julie. Dean and Sheila owned and operated Swenson Meats, a custom butcher shop for many years. He was well known for catering and his boneless roaster pigs. Together, he and Sheila enjoyed winters in Florida for the last 32 years and continued to run the business in NH until he retired in 2016.

Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sheila. His sons, Cory of Newport, NH, Mitchell and his wife, Claudia of Cape Coral, FL. He had 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Swenson, Crystal Ramey, Amanda Swenson and Cote Swenson and 5 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Quimby and sister Jean Preston.

A Celebration of Life will be held in New Hampshire at a later date.
