Christine Stephens

Christine and family migrated to the United States in 1991. She accepted the Lord at age 8 in a children's bible club and got baptized at age 14 at the Evanston Bible Chapel in Evanston, Illinois. Christine graduated from Evanston High School in 1998. Christine attended Emaus Bible College for one year and after graduation, she took a job in a nursing facility as a Nursing Assistant. She worked in that field while going back to school and she received her certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

In 2007, Mom and Dad moved to Florida, which Christine soon followed in 2008 to join them. She continued to pursue her passion as a PTA member and quickly went back to school and obtained a degree as a Certified Massage Therapist. Her excellent care was always acknowledged by her patients, who often left her great reviews.

She got married to Daniel Whiting and soon gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, named Skylar Grace. Her husband wanted the family to live in England, to which Christine agreed. Unfortunately, Christine did not obtain a permanent Visa, so she returned to the US with her daughter, Skylar. After 7 years of separation from her husband, she filed for divorce and then soon married Gary Harvey. Christine built lifelong company amongst her peers, as it's evident that most of her friends she went to school with, from Middle School & High School, are still friends today as they frequently keep in touch with each other.

Christine was a strong independent young woman, her laugh was infectious and her smiles could go on for miles. She taught her daughter many valuable life lessons, especially how to show respect to others, both young and old.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her parents Lloyd and Winsome Stephens, her brother Christopher, her daughter Skylar and her husband Gary Harvey. She leaves her closest friends, Jessy, Lotoya, Linnea, Abbie, Shola, Ms. V and many more. We miss her very much!.

A visitation for Christine will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991. A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
