Chris was deeply loved by everyone whose lives she touched. She was passionate, fun-loving and incredibly committed to everything she did, as evidenced by how many lives she positively impacted. She was a foster parent to over 20 children, a mom to countless foster cats and dogs from the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter, and the “queen bee” in her commitment in raising and supporting honey bees. From running away as a young child to the circus on her unicycle, being the only girl on a boy's baseball team, massage therapist, being a “hockey mom”, volunteering at the 4H fair and pursuing artistic endeavors later on, Chris certainly lived a fulfilling life from beginning to end.
She will be terribly missed by her surviving husband, Bob, her two daughters, Courtney and Casey, their partners, Jordan and Joe; and her two stepchildren Evan and Alexis and their partners Jen and Michal. She will forever be “babcia” to her soon-to-be-born grandchildren.
She leaves behind her siblings Karen, Mark and David; and their respective partners Norman and Becky.
She also leaves behind her two sister-in-laws Lisa and Kathi, as well as 6 nieces and 5 nephews (Chase, Faith, Morgan, Rheya, Aaron, David, Abbigayl, Erica, Matt, Adam and Jackie) and goddaughter (Jayden “Christine”). She will also be sorely missed by her mother Virgina Niles and her stepfather Charlie, as well as her aunts and uncles. She is preceded in life by her father David.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held later in the year in New Jersey.
She has taught us all about how to be the best person in life. Until we meet again!
