Carol was born and raised in Northeast Ohio with three sisters and one brother. She was the middle child and will always be remembered as the pretty, sassy redhead with one of the most athletic, strongest and fearless personalities of the 5 kids. Lord, the girl could run! She went on to graduate from Mentor High School in 1969. She moved to Cape Coral Florida in 1976 to be closer to her grandparents. She met and married Thomas Kiefer in 1978 and they had their son David Thomas Kiefer, in 1979. She stayed in the SW Florida area until her passing.
She is proceeded in death by her Mother Ruth Richmond Love, 1958, her father Donald Alexander Love, Sr. in 1973, both from Cleveland, Ohio. Her loving Grandparents Jessie and Donald Clarkson, 1979 and 1980 from Cape Coral. Her brother Donald Alexander Love, Sr. from Oxford, Ohio passed away in 2016 and her sister Laurie Love McGuire, Ft. Myers, passed in 2018.
She is survived by her son David Thomas Kiefer, daughter-in-law Megan Kiefer and grandson Noah Thomas Kiefer, 14 of Estero. Also, her sisters and brothers-in-law Joanne Love-Strobl and Ignatius Strobl, Cathy Love-Wolfe and Richard Wolfe, all in Ft. Myers. She also has a loving niece: Shelley Strobl-Verissimo, and nephews Ignatius Paul Strobl, Matthew McGuire and Sean McGuire who have many fond young memories of her and son David hanging out and playing together with them during their early childhoods.
Carol will be missed, remembered and loved by her family and those close friends, especially Ruth, Doug, Joe, Ryan Kendall and her other nearby neighbors in their close nit country neighborhood from East Corkscrew Road in Estero. The family is forever grateful for all the kindness and help these friends and neighbors have shown Carol during her time with them.
