Andrew was born in Cheverly, Maryland on July 26, 1945 and was the proud son to Mary L. (Beach) and Andrew C. Long Jr. He was a Veteran of the United States Army who served in combat during the Vietnam War. During his working years, Andrew was a carpenter who was employed by several building and construction companies and he also served as the Owner/Operator of his own carpentry contracting company.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Betty (Wilkerson) Long and his children Charles William Long, Joanne C. McKibben, Nena Guzzi and Shawn Anthony Long. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family and a great many others who were proud to call him a friend. He will be warmly remembered and fondly missed by everybody he knew.

A Funeral Service for Andrew will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 inside the Chapel at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 950 Chiquita Boulevard S, Cape Coral, Florida 33991, (239) 283-0540. Friends will be received for Visitation for an hour preceding this service beginning at 10:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, friends and family will recess to adjacent Coral Ridge Cemetery where the United States Army will conduct Funeral Honors to recognize Andrew's service to our nation as a uniformed member of the military. Following this tribute, Andrew will be laid to rest inside the Mausoleum located within the Memory II section of the cemetery.
